Sometimes I have to design a layout based on scraps or very little reference material. After taking text from the writer, I had to design, develop, and create a layout through low res materials and basing my designs on input and feedback from the senior editors. 

Office welcome poster

This poster was designed to be posted in the hallway of the main corporate office. It gives clients and visitors a brief history of the company. Designed in adobe creative suite using archived photos from 1930's.

The New Recruits

At work, every year, we participate in a Halloween competition between the facilities to promote teamwork and fun. The competition is called "The Ghoulies" and the challenge is to create a 5 minute movie in the spirit of Halloween.

This is Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario's award-winning Ghoulie Movie entry..."The New Recruits". The 2011 Ghoulie Challenge included a record-setting number of participants and some of the best entries ever submitted. 10 entries from the US and Canada competed for the top prize. And for the 4th time in 5 years, Niagara-on-the-Lake won!

I was one of the actors in the movie and did many of the graphics in the video itself.

Trance CD design

About 15 years ago a friend who worked in a club asked me to design his mix cd's. This was when Trance was relatively new and not known yet. Also there was no such thing as shutterstock. All graphics had to be created in Adobe Illustrator.

Appliances Template

Here is a template designed for an appliance store. The final text and prices were to be added by the production team once the vendor finalized all the prices. 

Transforming Sequence

Here is a character redesign, complete with transformation between her Lotus vehicle mode to robot mode. 

Police Benefits Cover

Last but not least the final cover from the Police series. This series was created using visual concepts based on the police industry and Internet Channel standards using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, and Premiere/Apple Motion (video editing). This also involved creating designs that presented large amounts of visual information in a coherent fashion. 

Sports Page

Another layout from a sports magazine I worked on a few years back. Using images from the Olympics and a combination of vector graphics, this was designed in Adobe Creative Suite.

Here's an ad done back when I designed ads for the paper. They actually had us design in B&W. Designed in photoshop using images from the store.

Police Guide

Another cover from the Police series. Designed in photoshop using the Police Dept. material. The top of the cover was left blank so that another designer can insert the logo.

Mix CD Design

A CD cover design for a local DJ, back when Trance and Dance music was new and not common. The series became immensely popular as many covers were commissioned. Designed in Photoshop using the DJ's image collection.
